About Me
I come from a family of educators, professionals, and business owners, and I’ve always been drawn to helping people grow into their potential. As a teenager, confidence didn’t come easily to me, and navigating the transition into adulthood felt overwhelming. That experience continues to shape how I work with young people today.
Over time, I learned that confidence isn’t something you either have or don’t have. It’s something that’s built through support, reflection, and practice. When students are given space to talk through their experiences, understand their strengths, and practice communicating clearly, they begin to feel more capable and prepared.
Professionally, I work in higher education teaching communication and career readiness skills to young adults. I’ve also facilitated leadership and communication workshops for professionals and emerging leaders, which gives me a real-world perspective on the skills students will need as they move into college, work, and adult responsibilities.
My approach is people-first, calm, and confidence-centered. I focus on helping students articulate who they are, advocate for themselves, and feel comfortable in professional conversations without pressure or unrealistic expectations. Sessions are supportive, practical, and tailored to where each student is right now.
Through Steady Step Career Coaching, I offer independent, community-based support for high school students preparing for college, interviews, scholarships, and early work experiences. My goal is simple: to help students take steady next steps with clarity, confidence, and trust in themselves.
Steady Step Career Coaching is an independent practice and is not affiliated with the University of Nevada, Reno.
